Does this feel familiar?

When the effects follow you into everyday life

Maybe you have good days. You work, laugh, make things, and spend time with people you love.

Then you get home and replay something you said.

Was that the right answer?

Did I upset them?

Did I explain myself enough?

You give away time you needed for yourself. You help a friend even when you can barely afford it. You have something to say, but the words stay in your throat.

Meanwhile, the laundry grows. Projects pile up. Ordinary decisions feel exhausting.

And being told how smart and capable you are doesn’t explain why everything feels so hard.

If any of that sounds familiar, that’s the experience I had in mind when I began creating these recordings.

My story

I made the first recording because I needed it myself.

I’m Cybil. I’m a survivor of multiple abusive and one insanely narcissistic relationship.

As the years passed after that last relationship, I expected things to get easier. In some ways, they did. I had good days. I had great days.

But the self-doubt became overwhelming.

I would second-guess answers I gave friends and family, then replay them in my head over and over. My memory felt less reliable. I gave away the time I needed so other people could receive my help.

I wouldn’t speak up.

My sense of self-love had diminished, too. In that narcissistic relationship, taking care of myself had been used against me. Choosing myself had become complicated.

For about two years after the relationship, I could work, but once I got home, I often felt unable to do much at all. Clothes, crafts, and toys piled up around me. I felt like I had given up.

I sought professional help. My therapist told me I was smart and highly capable, and to keep using meditation and breathing. What the flip?!

But those practices weren’t giving me the support I needed at that point! That was why I had reached out in the first place.

My brain works differently, and I’ve been through the whole round of diagnoses. Nothing I was handed fit what I actually needed.

Then I remembered hypnotherapy.

About thirteen years earlier, I’d seen an online ad for hypnotherapy sessions with Maria in San Diego. She was offering a special, and my first thought was:

“Sweet. Maybe she can hypnotize me into making a ton of money.”

I had never experienced hypnotherapy before. The idea of being hypnotized was what got me through the door.

Then she started asking questions about my life.

In my head, I was thinking, “Wait. Is this a therapy session? What the hell.” Honestly, if I’d expected that kind of conversation, I probably wouldn’t have gone.

But she took time to hear my answers. My appointment was originally an hour, and she extended it by another thirty minutes. She told me she didn’t want to re-traumatize me. LOL

Then she guided me through the hypnotherapy session.

When I left Maria’s office, it was the first time in a LONG ASS TIME that I felt like I was going to be OK.

That feeling stayed with me as a memory of what support could feel like. I ended up going back to her for two months and the change was SOOO DRASTIC that I referred ALL of my friends or clients who needed help to her… Years later, when I was struggling after the abusive relationship, I remembered Maria and that experience.

That’s when I became a hypnotherapist and began creating recordings for myself. As I recorded, and felt the shift, I thought about the other people who might recognize this same experience!

That’s how this series began.

A place to begin, even when you have very little energy

These are guided recordings. My voice leads the session, so you don’t have to come up with the energy, words or figure out what to do next.

The series focuses on experiences such as questioning yourself, holding back your voice, and feeling overwhelmed after a toxic relationship.

You can begin with one recording in a quiet place, when you have time to give it your attention. You can pause or stop whenever you need to.

There’s no deadline for completing the series. You don’t need to feel peaceful, have the perfect intention, or know exactly how to explain what happened before you begin.

Why I’m creating seven parts

I wanted support I could return to.

Sometimes what you want to focus on changes from one day to the next. Sometimes you want to revisit the same recording and notice what you notice.

Seven parts give this series a structure. They don’t set a deadline for your recovery.

You can move through the available recordings in your own way, in your own time.

Is this for you?

This series may interest you if a toxic relationship has ended, or you’ve created distance, and you still recognize experiences like these:

  • Replaying conversations long after they’re over.
  • Doubting answers you would once have given confidently.
  • Holding back something you want to say.
  • Giving more time or money than you have available.
  • Feeling overwhelmed by everyday life while others see you as capable.
  • Wanting guided support you can access privately, at home.

You don’t need a particular label for the other person to recognize your own experience.

Questions you might have

Is it really free?

Yes. Access to this series is free. No payment is required.

Are all seven recordings ready?

Days One and Two are available now. Days Three through Seven are coming soon and will be added as they’re released.

Do I need to finish in seven days?

No. Begin when you have time and move at your own pace. Seven is the planned number of sessions, rather than a promise about how quickly anything will change. For me, I felt a HUGE shift after day 1, I also felt insanely angry so I did day 2 almost right away. As you move through each recording, you will come back to feeling yourself. Trusting yourself.

What if meditation and breathing haven’t felt helpful?

That was part of my own experience. These recordings offer a guided hypnotherapy format you can explore and decide whether you find supportive. My experience doesn’t predict yours. I DO have my meditation and breathing exercises, and adding these to them is a huge BONUS.

Do I need to share my story?

You don’t need to tell me your relationship history to access the recordings. The signup asks for your first name and email address. If you would like a personal recording, you can 100% message me or sign up for one in my services. I do personal recordings all the time.

Will I lose control?

You can choose whether to follow a suggestion, open your eyes, pause the recording, or stop listening. You’re welcome to stop at any point. I won’t make you cluck like a chicken teehee

Is this therapy?

These recordings are educational and supportive. They are not “therapy” or medical treatment, and they do not replace care from a licensed mental-health or medical professional. Experiences vary, and no particular result is promised.

How do I listen?

Choose somewhere you can safely sit or lie down without interruption. Listen only when you can give the recording your attention. Never listen while driving or doing anything that requires alertness. If listening feels distressing, stop and seek individual support as needed. I do offer additional services IF NEEDED, such as Violet Flame Relationship Healing.

Support and safety

These recordings are educational and supportive, not therapy, medical treatment, or a substitute for professional care. No specific outcome or recovery timeline is guaranteed. Listen in a safe place and never while driving or doing anything requiring your full attention. If you are currently in danger, seek appropriate local professional or emergency support rather than relying on these recordings.
